Xalacom Latanoprost and Timolol Eye Drops – 2.5ml

Xalacom Latanoprost and Timolol Eye Drops – 2.5ml is a combination of an ophthalmic prostaglandin drug (latanoprost) and an ophthalmic beta-blocking drug (timolol), both of which lower the pressure within the eye in different ways. The prostaglandin drug works by increasing the natural outflow of fluid from inside the eye. The beta-blocking drug works by decreasing the fluid production in the eye
 
Ingredient
Each ml contains 50mcg of Latanoprost and Timolol Maleate equivalent to 5mg of Timolol. Inactive ingredient include Sodium Chloride, Sodium Dihydrogen Phosphate, Monohydrate Disodium Phosphate, Anhydrous Benzalkonium Chloride mg and Water for injection to 1ml.
 
Direction for Use
Use Xalacom eye drops strictly according to prescription. Use only the number of drops your doctor has prescribed.
 
Caution
Once opened the container may be stored at room temperature below 25 degree celsius. To be used within 4 wek after opening. Keep away from the sight and reach of children. Not recommended in patients with a known hypersensitivity to latanoprost, benzalkonium chloride, or any other ingredients in this product. Contact lenses should be removed prior to the administration of Xalacom. Contact lenses can be reinserted 15 minutes following administration.
 
Side Effects
Xalacom may gradually change eye colour by increasing the amount of brown pigment in the iris. The most common side effects may include blurred vision, burning and stinging, eye redness and eye itching
