Advantan 0.1% Cream suppresses inflammatory and allergic skin reactions as well as reactions associated with increased cellular regeneration. It is indicated for treatment of Atopic dermatitis (endogenous eczema, neurodermatitis), contact eczema, degenerative, dyshidrotic, vulgar eczema, eczema in children.
Ingredient
1 g of Advantan cream 0.1% contains 1 mg methylprednisolone aceponate. The cream contains benzyl alcohol 1% (w/w) as preservative. Other excipients are decyl oleate, glyceryl monostearate 40-50, cetostearyl alcohol, solid semisynthetic glycerides, saturated triglycerides of fatty acids, polyoxy-40-stearate, glycerol 85%, sodium edetate, benzyl alcohol, hdroxytoluene butylate, purified water.
Direction
Except when prescribed otherwise, Advantan must be applied once a day in a day in a thin layer to the involved area of the skin. In the case of treatment of extensive areas of skin, the duration of treatment should be limited appropriately by the doctor. Although the high local or systemic tolerability of Advantan makes it particularly indicated in the long term treatment of chronic eczema, the duration of treatment should generally not exceed 12 weeks in adults and 4 weeks in children.
Caution
Application of this product to the face requires particular caution and must be avoided in case of rosacea or perioral dermatitis. The product must not come in contact with the eyes.
