Glucodix Extented-Release (ER) 500mg is a biguanide oral anti-hyperglycaemic agent indicated for the treatment of type II diabetes when diet medications have failed and especially if the patient is overweight. It can be used as an initial therapy, or can be administered in combination with sulphonylurea or an insulin.
Ingredient
Each uncoated Extended-Release tablet contains Metformin Hydrochloride USP 500mg.
Direction for Use
Administer an initial dose of 500mg once daily which may be raised in increments of 500mg at one (1) week interval to a maximum of 2000mg daily with evening meals. If glycaemic control is achieved, the dose may be administered in divided doses of 1000mg twice daily
Caution
For adult use only. Do not take alcohol while on this medication. Discontinue use 2 to 3 days before any surgery. Do not take this medication on self-advice, you must speak with your doctor before use. Protect from sunlight and moisture and keep away from the reach of children.
