Augmentin Suspension 228mg/5ml is a combination antibiotic containing amoxicillin trihydrate, a beta-lactam antibiotic, with potassium clavulanate, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination results in an antibiotic with an increased spectrum of action and restored efficacy against amoxicillin-resistant bacteria. It is indicated for the shor term treatment of bacterial infections when amoxixillin resistant beta-lactamase producing strains of bacteria are suspected.
Ingredient
Each 5ml contains 200mg Amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and 28mg Clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate).
Direction for Use
For children between the age of 2 to 6 years administer, 5ml twice daily for children between 7 to 10 years administer 10ml twice daily.
Caution
Do not exceed recommended dose. Store in a dry cool place away from the reachof children
